International Brigade British Battalion Banner tea towel

International Brigade British Battalion Banner tea towel

In 1937 the British Battalion of the International Brigade fought in its first battle at Jarama against Franco's fascists. Our tea towel is based on the Battalion's banner from the period which was carried to Brunete, Ebro and elsewhere. Volunteers from Britain totalled 2,300, of whom 525 died in Spain. Dirty dishes? They shall not pass!

Measures 50x75cm approximately. Made in England, using cotton woven from ethically sourced yarns our tea towels are printed using a water-based non-toxic ink that doesn’t harm the environment and are washable up to 40°c, giving great durability of design and purpose without compromising the planet.
