ALL PROFITS FROM THIS SHIRT HELP LAUNCH 'NO EXTRA TIME FOR THE CLIMATE EMERGENCY' CAMPAIGN PROJECT
The Rapid Transition Alliance estimate that by the 2049-50 season 23 of the 92 league clubs in England, almost a quarter, can expect partial or even total flooding of their grounds on an annual basis. Not a few pudlles to dribble around but entire pitches, stands, grounds under water. Seasons that start in August and end in early May unplayable because of the extreme heat in summer months.
On this kind of timescale there is no extra time for the climate emergency. Whatever our club, join the resistance, wear the shirt.
Philosophy Footbal is a small, perfectly formed, outfit, we're not about to claim one T-shirt is going to stop the climate emerency. But that doesn't mean we can't make an impact, last year proved that. Our Born in the NHS T-shirt raised over £12,000 for NHS key worker projects in the two towns we're based in, Harwich and Lewes. Matt Hancock so rattled by out efforts he banned it. The Climate Energency is more deadly than the worst imaginable pandemic, so today as Cop 26 meets we launch a project to connect the research and campaigning of the Rapid Transition Alliance to our two home town non-league clubs, Harwich and Parkeston FC and Lewes FC, and the wider football community where we live and work. All proftis from our shirt will fund this project, one we hope will set an example and help explode a fan-led climate emergency movement across the game.
