Produced by Philosophy Football, exclusively drawn for us by artist Dan Murrell, this shirt was first launched in 2013 as a tribute to our badgers as they faced the first cull. By the end of 2024 a total of 247,880 badgers had been culled. The reason for the cull? To end bovine tubercolosis yet scientific studies have reveaded the overwhelming majority of cattle TB infections are from cow to cow. Many in the farming community continue to wrongly believe that badgers are a significant factor in the spread of the disease. Scientists, vets, campaigners, have all challenged this claim.
