Piratin was a key figure in the campaign against Moseley's Blackshirts who sought to sprad fear and terror acrpss London's Eat End Jewish Communities in the 1930s, mist famoulsy at Cable Street in '36. The account places Piratin's success as an MP in the context of the growth of the Communist Partyy in this period, the popular front against Fascism and the party's role in wartime and the build up to Labour's election victory.
