In August 1914 the fledgling Royal Flying Corps (RFC) was equipped with small numbers of aircraft, of which the Avro 504 was one. A two-seater intended for reconnaissance, the Avro 504, through various models, remained in service until the Armistice. The first RFC losses of the war were the crew of an Avro 504. One of a series of designs marking the centenary of the conflict. T-shirts as 'Testaments of War' to remember the courage and the sacrifice, to resist the deadly causes and lethal consequences.
