From dreamers, and sufferers to builders was Bevan's 1945 vision following another global crisis. Bevan's three line philosophy summed up what was about to be achieved. It led to the welfare state being established, an NHS created, a massive public housing programme, comprehensive education and free university education too, the railways and other public utilities nationalised.
