6th June 1944, D-Day and the beginning of the end for Nazi-occupied western and northern Europe. 'Operation Overlord' was the codename for the allied invasion. Our design combines 'Overlord' with a representation of the D-Day airborne assault involving American, British and Canadian forces. Most were dropped by C-47 Dakotas, one is shown on the shirt, with its D-Day payload of 18 over-laden paratroopers, also shown. 6 June 1944, a day against fascism, then, now and for ever.
